Julius Lahai’s presence in entertainment began at the age of seven when he first entered children's talent competitions in Liberia. However, his drive extended far beyond the stage. By age 11, he was appointed as a child representative and project committee member in his chiefdom, sitting alongside elder statesmen and community leaders to advocate for child rights, safety, and youth dignity.

Relocating to Germany allowed Julius to expand his sound across multiple genres—blending Funk, Soul, Reggae, Pop, Rock, and Afrobeat traditions into a cohesive style.

"Turning 40 brings total clarity. When I look back at starting out in Liberia at age seven, and then advocating for children on chiefdom committees at age 11, I realize that every step was preparing me for this exact era. Music is not just about entertainment; it is about infrastructure and unity."

Julius Lahai:
"Kingblack Records is building an international network that bridges the diaspora directly to West Africa. Operating from Germany alongside Kingblack Hayes in the US and the Kubansound Media team in Nigeria proves that borders cannot restrict our collective progress. We are controlling our own narratives and creating real economic and cultural independence."
